Dog Description

Geordie

Geordie, male, mixed breed. DOB 10 April 2026. Geordie is a laid-back, affectionate and well-behaved boy with a gentle nature. He is a pleasure to foster, given his lovely temperament, good manners and distinctive personality. His soft, caramel-coloured coat and expressive blue-green eyes are gorgeous. Both his coat and eyes appear to change colour with the light. Quite fascinating.

Geordie can be shy at first when meeting new people, but his confidence soon returns. He is playful and a bit of a clown, with a touch of endearing clumsiness. Geordie balances his play sessions with long naps, taking himself off to bed without a fuss when he needs to rest. He is happy to fall asleep on any spot he fancies and never misses a chance to have a cosy cuddle on my lap.

He is our little fun-loving tank: sturdy, well-proportioned and well-muscled. He enjoys a good romp with his littermates, a soft, warm bed, and playing with his favourite toys. Geordie has a good appetite and eats a variety of vegetables along with his protein. He enjoys chewing calf hooves and bully sticks, which he carries with him for his convenience and then tucks away under the corner of his bed.

Geordie is a calm, well-adjusted pup who is human-bonded. He’s intelligent and alert and will thrive with ongoing training while he learns the house rules. He’s curious and engaged with his surroundings and will be easy to train because he learns fast and is responsive. Geordie sits for his treats and is learning basic commands. He dashes over when called (especially if I whistle) and knows to wait patiently if he wants something.

He is not a noisy or destructive pup either and is good at sharing his toys, treats and food. There is no ‘resource guarding’ present, and he eats from his own bowl.

Geordie is a strong, healthy and robust pup. Vaccinations, deworming, and tick, mite and flea treatments are up to date. He is clean in his habits and eats and sleeps well. His toilet training is coming along nicely. He sleeps through at night, either in his bed or crate, without complaining. Although he does wake up to go toilet and drink water, so I do not recommend shutting the crate’s door. Wait until he is a little older – if at all.

Geordie has never been on his own for long, and he needs a family that will not leave him alone for an extended period until he is older. He is confident when interacting with our large dogs, which happens under our supervision because he is still a young pup. He will do well either as the only dog or with a companion dog, and he is great with children. He has not met cats yet but should be fine with them after a proper introduction.

He loves companionship and would be a great dog for a loving family who want to make him a part of their life. With love, gentle guidance and training, he’ll grow into a fine dog and a treasured member of the family.

Geordie is fostered in Millwater, Silverdale.
