Dog Description

Gracie

Gracie, female, mixed breed. DOB 10 April 2026. Gracie is a charming, bubbly and good-natured puppy, a friendly and affectionate girl who impresses everyone with her sweet and gentle temperament. Combined with her perky attitude, silky soft coat and cute face, she has stolen our hearts.

Brimming with puppy optimism, this dainty lass is always up for a bit of fun. Gracie is bursting with puppy love and playfulness. A proper little social butterfly, she is always involved in what’s going on – from “helping” me to replace the wee pads to “making” her bed and “advising” her brothers on the right way to do things. She thinks she runs the show, and I don’t have the heart to inform her otherwise. She is entertaining too, keeping us in stitches with her antics.

Her favourite thing to do after a play session is to snuggle up on my lap and sleep as I stroke her head and ears. At the end of the day, she wouldn’t mind curling up with you while you read or watch your favourite TV shows. Gracie is a big cuddle bug, always ready for kisses. She loves her toys and running and playing outside, weather permitting.

Gracie is a well-adjusted pup who is human-bonded, interacts very well with people and is great with children. She confidently plays with her littermates and our large dogs, under supervision, of course, since she is still young.

Gracie is alert, engaged with her environment and smart, which will make her easy to train. She responds well to treats, praise, encouragement and affection. Gracie likes her environment to be clean and tidy. She calls me when there is a poo anywhere about and wants it gone!

Despite her dainty physique, Gracie is a strong, healthy and active pup. Her well-proportioned body and caramel-and-cream coat are very attractive. Vaccinations, microchipping, deworming, and tick, mite and flea treatments are up to date. Gracie is not a noisy or destructive pup. She is clean in her habits and eats and sleeps well. She has a healthy appetite and eats from her own bowl. There is no ‘resource guarding’.

Gracie’s toilet training is coming along nicely. She puts herself to bed and sleeps through at night, either in her bed or crate, without complaining. Although she does wake up to go toilet and drink water, so I do not recommend shutting the crate’s door. Wait until she is a little older – if at all.

Gracie has never been on her own for long, and she needs a family that will not leave her alone for an extended period until she is a bit older. She will do very well either as the only dog or with a companion dog. She has not met cats yet but should be fine with them after a proper introduction.

If you are looking for a lovely, engaging girl to join your family and have the time and interest to provide gentle guidance and training to help her learn how to be a great dog, then she’ll repay you with a lifetime of doggy smooches and complete devotion.

Gracie is fostered in Millwater, Silverdale.
