He is affectionate, thoughtful and clever, a beautiful little soul looking for a family to call his own. This bright boy is a fast learner and already knows several commands, including how to wait patiently for his dinner. He is well on his way to being toilet trained, he quickly discovered that toileting on the grass earns him a tasty treat! Being food-motivated, attentive and eager to please makes Xander an absolute joy to train. Xander is currently living happily with both large and small foster dogs. He loves to play but is wonderfully respectful, paying attention to their signals and giving them space when needed. He takes gentle behaviour correction beautifully and is learning more every day. He has also charmed his foster cats! Xander is calm and respectful around them, and one of the cats has already decided he makes a pretty fun playmate. He happily shares his toys, shows no signs of resource guarding and especially loves a friendly game of tug-of-war. When he isn’t playing, Xander is a champion cuddler. He will happily climb onto your lap with his favourite toy, snuggle in and enjoy a well-earned nap. Out in the large backyard of his rural foster home, Xander is a quiet and careful little explorer. He loves investigating all the exciting smells, but his favourite place is still close beside his human. Xander really is the whole puppy package: affectionate, intelligent, playful, respectful and irresistibly sweet.
