Dog Description

Tabitha

Tabitha, Female, Shar-Pei, DOB: 12 Jan 2026 (10 weeks old from 23 March) Fostered in Mt Wellington with her brother Thomas. Meet Tabitha – the sassy little girl! She’s an enthusiastic, fun pup who enjoys exploring the yard, running around after her brother, and playing with her toys. She loves cuddles and human attention, and would do best in a home where she has company during the day. Tabitha loves to talk, and will be an amazing watch dog as she is already showing signs of alerting you to suspicious sounds. She is confident and likes to lead the way. She is currently fostered with three dogs of different sizes and gets along well. Shar-Pei’s are best suited to homes with older children, and Tabitha would be fine with older kids who understand to be gentle and respect her space. Being so young, she still has lots to learn, but she is already crate trained and currently working on toilet training. Tabitha’s ideal home is someone who has experienced (or has researched) the Shar-Pei breed, so understands their traits as well as being aware of the specific health issues this breed can be prone to. As well as someone who has the time to give her attention, training, and lots of love. Tabitha has had her first vaccination and is microchipped. If you’re looking for a loving, playful companion, apply to meet her today! (Please note: we are unsure how she is with cats, but she is young and adaptable.)
