Dog Description
Moo Moo
Meet Moo Moo. Moo Moo is a gorgeous young girl, around 1 year old, who is still learning that the world can be a safe and wonderful place. She’s made huge progress in the 4 months she’s been in foster care, but she will need a patient, experienced home to help her continue to grow. She is around 18kgs and we don’t think she’ll get any bigger. Moo Moo would thrive in a home with a confident, friendly resident dog — this is when we truly see her come out of her shell. Having a calm canine role model gives her confidence and reassurance in new situations. She used to be absolutely terrified of the leash, but with lots of love and guidance she actually now really enjoys going on walks on leash. She now knows what leash pressure means so the next thing to work on is a nice heel. She enjoys being on a 10m long line at the park where she can run around safely. Her shyness improves every single day, but she can still be skittish when spooked. Because of this, her new home must have solid, secure fencing and will need adopters who understand that progress isn’t linear and who are happy to go slow. Her foster family are fully invested in her so will be helping out where they can. Moo Moo will likely take a few months to fully settle and feel safe, but those months will be incredibly rewarding. Watching her blossom, gain confidence, and learn to trust is truly special. Her crate is her safe space, and she chooses it when she needs comfort — but once she trusts you, she also loves snuggling on the couch and being close to her people. She will benefit hugely from calm people-watching, routine, and building a strong bond with her human. Moo Moo isn’t a “plug and play” dog — but for the right home, she will be a deeply rewarding companion with so much love to give. Fostered in Glenfield.
