Meet Goosey (Boy)

Wherever you are, whatever you’re doing, Goosey would quite like to be involved! Goosey is our sweet little all-rounder. He’s playful, affectionate, curious about his people and has a serious case of FOMO – the fear of missing out! He’s often the first to come running when you call, because why would you want to miss out on whatever might be happening? Whether you’re moving around the house or simply going about your day, Goosey likes to know where his people are. You can quite often turn around to find him sitting quietly behind you, keeping an eye on things and making sure he’s not missing anything important. It’s an incredibly endearing little habit, and it gives you a glimpse of the affectionate, people-oriented puppy he is becoming. Goosey enjoys being around his humans and seems quite happy to tag along and see what’s going on. But he’s not completely glued to your side! Goosey is also independent enough to head off and play, explore his surroundings and enjoy himself with his brother and sister. He’s got a lovely balance of wanting to be part of the action while still being happy to entertain himself when something interesting catches his attention. Goosey is being fostered in Glenfield in a home with children and cats, giving him exposure to family life as he grows. His new family will need to continue providing positive experiences, gentle guidance and consistent training to help him develop into a confident, well-adjusted adult dog. Like all young puppies, Goosey will need help with toilet training, learning basic manners, socialisation and understanding the world around him. His family should be prepared to give him the time and attention he needs while also gradually teaching him that it’s okay to settle independently when his people are busy. Goosey would suit a family who wants a companion to share in the everyday moments – the little shadow who follows you into a room, checks in to see what you’re doing and is always hopeful that something exciting might be happening.
