Volunteer
Volunteering is a great way to help pets in need and meet other caring humans like you who love dogs. There are a number of opportunities to lend a helping paw in the Saving Hope rescue operation. At Saving Hope, we could not perform all of the hands-on work that we need to do without the help of some incredible, dedicated volunteers.
We need social media volunteers. Make a connection with the animals here at Saving Hope and share their stories with your friends and family so they can find their forever homes. We are looking for people who love animals and want to support our no-kill rescue mission by using today’s technology to post videos, photos and spread as much awareness online as possible.
We invite young people with these online skills to call us and become one of our social media helpers. For example, making videos of animals and posting on Instagram and Facebook is something we really need. A social media presence is critical today so it’s a very important function in the Saving Hope drive to rescue, rehabilitate and adopt out more and more dogs every year.
Volunteers are the backbone of Saving Hope. They aid us in many of our daily operations. While we have people, who like to work in one specific area, the majority of our volunteers are multi-talented and happy to muck in and do whatever needs to be done.
These include, cleaning animal areas, assisting potential adopters, dog walking / feeding / handling, bathing animals and helping at fundraisers and special events. If you are an “all hands “ person we value you so much so contact us if you’d like to help.
We seek volunteers who can assist with the planning and organizing of our office and administration work. The ideal volunteer has experience with phone work, communicating via e-mail, and with data entry.
Office experience and the ability to communicate through telephone and e-mails a big help. Being computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Office, Excel spreadsheets a bonus. Must be reliable and responsible and have a positive friendly attitude.
Most of all a desire to make a positive difference in the lives of animals.
We would love to have volunteers in these areas – Financial, legal, media management, publicity, public relations, videographer, I.T professionals of all types, resource consents, builders, all trades,
Are you a young adult considering a career as a veterinarian, and want to know if the field is right for you? Or do you want to start your own clinic to help struggling animals?
If you like being with dogs of all shapes, sizes, and breeds, and you want to help improve their lives and quality of care, then why not volunteer a few hours a week at Saving Hope. We’d love to have you.
