Mac is a special boy, he had a very tough start to life from what we can tell. He came into my care when we was about 4 months old, he was very shy and we soon began to realise just how hard his life was before we welcomed him into our house.
He was so skittish of new people, particularly males and to be honest, he still is. I’ve tried to teach him that not all humans are nasty, but it’s taking him a while to realise. Once he gets to know you, he loves you so much. He has a lot of love to give, it just takes time for him to trust anyone. He is looking for his forever home, but we all know that won’t come easily, I’m his safe person and I won’t be letting him leave me until I’m completely comfortable he’s in good hands.
He is very well behaved (most of the time), he knows to sit and waits to be told a few times he can eat before actually eating. He’s walking on his lead well and we are slowly teaching him re-call. He absolutely loves other dogs, he’s great with them, he just always wants to play. His most favourite thing of all is belly rubs, and he will go from person to person as he just can’t get enough. He’s also good with kids.
He would ideally be suited to a house with other dogs and perhaps some children, although not necessary as he’s not living with any at the moment. (children that is)
Mac is fostered in Glenfield.
